Just as beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, so is bondage. I always have a choice in how I see my life. No one, and no situation can force me to be depressed or discouraged . . . angry or bitter. Every one of these deformed responses to life are always in my court. I can welcome them as friends, or dismiss them as the enemies they really are. Every situation in my life is an opportunity to see the miraculous, saving hand of God. I can live with excited anticipation of how God’s going to deliver me, or I can wait willed with fear. Recently, after God moved financially in a miraculous way, He spoke to my heart. He said, “Francis, if you had to choose between Me providing for every financial need you’ll ever have in advance, or as I’ve been doing for 48 years, Me periodically doing something amazing.” What would you want me to do?” It was easy to answer. I said, “God, keep doing what You’ve always been doing. When I’m in my right mind, I’m loving the ride.”
