Sacramento’s Christian History

Sacramento, California’s Christian history has seen a world-renowned 1849 Gold Rush, which ultimately brought caring pastors to serve the thousands who showed up searching for treasure. One hundred and twenty years later, a Jesus Movement saw thousands of young people get saved. Over the next few decades, mega-churches brought the gospel to multiplied thousands, and eventually a network of Christian churches that united churches in one of America’s most inter-racial cities.
